Funded Masters Degree education at the Royal College of Art
The Sir Thomas White grant contributed to my Masters Degree education at the Royal College of Art.
With their contribution, I have been able to make a career change from working as a product designer in Northampton, to studying Vehicle Design at one of the world's top design schools. The college is well known for influential artists and designers such as David Hockney, James Dyson, Ian Callum and Peter Schreyer.
Whilst at the college, we have worked on a range of projects, including collaborations with the Royal Automobile Club, EVO Magazine, the London Transport Museum and Jaguar Land Rover. I was shortlisted for an exclusive automotive event called Salon Privé Concours d'Elégance, where we presented our concepts to a panel of the motor industry's heads of design.
The college has taught me not only valuable skills in design and visualisation, but how to also how to think conceptually and communicate ideas that capture the imagination of audiences.
At the moment I am preparing my design for the final degree show and searching for sponsors to help fund the model.
